Andrew Chuter for the seat of Sydney

Andrew Chuter was formerly a high school teacher and now a casual tutor in several university mathematics departments.

He has been active for many years in community action groups and campaigns. Public transport is a major focus where he was co-convenor of No WestCONnex and helped lead the fight against the huge private toll road. Parallel to this campaign was Fix NSW Transport, which reached out to the north, west and south of Sydney and to unions to make the case for expanded public transport instead of motorways.

He has been a NSW State Councillor and union delegate in the NTEU and helped lead the first ever strike of teachers at UNSW Global.

As current president of Friends of Erskineville, he successfully advocates for local improvements in active transport. He is also active in the campaign to defend and extend public housing.

Andrew is running for the seat of Sydney in NSW.

In the NSW Senate, our candidates are Paula Sanchez, Niko Leka and Rachel Evans.
