Tim Gooden for Western Region
Tim Gooden is a Socialist Alliance candidate for the Western Victoria Region of the Legislative Council.
Tim is a former secretary of Geelong Trades Hall and activist shop steward for the construction union. He is a long-term socialist activist and a Palestine justice campaigner.
He says, “Having been a union campaigner in this community for many years, I want to be part of putting forward positive solutions for workers, rather than the hate which is being spewed by the big end of town. Blaming migrants and refugees for cost-of-living rises is about scapegoating people who have nothing. Meanwhile, the billionaires rake in profits.”
