Freya Hedley for South Barwon
Freya Hedley is the Socialist Alliance candidate for the seat of South Barwon.
Freya is a trans woman working in tech support and hospitality. She volunteers at a homeless service in Geelong, is very active in campaigns for LGBTIQA+ rights and the pro-Palestine campaign.
She says, “My experiences have made me critically aware of how much injustice there is today. We need a community that values diversity, respects human rights and provides funding for everyone to achieve their potential on an equal basis. I want to help my community rebuild solidarity with each other rather than the hatred and disunity being spread by some others.”
