Rachel Evans is the Socialist Alliance candidate for Heffron. She is active in the defend public housing campaign, as part of Action for Public Housing, which is fighting off demolition threats in Waterloo.
She was one of the founders of the grassroots marriage equality campaign in Sydney, and is a journalist with Green Left. She is a disability support worker and supports feminist and trans rights campaigning in NSW.
She helped set up City of Sydney for Palestine and helped get ceasefire and boycott and divest motions up at City of Sydney and local councils across the state.
