Susan Price
I have been an active unionist for more than 20 years and joined my first union as a high school student. I’ve held a number of elected delegate roles in the National Tertiary Education Union (NTEU) including as branch president at the University of New South Wales between 2006 and 2010 and on the union’s National Executive from 2010–12.
I am active in the refugee rights movement because I believe that the bipartisan policy of locking up refugees and asylum-seekers and turning back boats is cruel, illegal and must end. I am a long-time feminist campaigner because 40 years since the introduction of anti-discrimination laws, women are still fighting for equal pay, for lives free from violence and for the right to choose abortion.
I am a national co-convener of the Socialist Alliance.
