Felix Dance for Randazzo Ward

My name is Felix Dance and I am the Socialist Alliance endorsed candidate for the Randazzo Ward (east side Sydney Rd, Brunswick).

I am a Brunswick resident, civil engineer for major transport projects and father of a little toddler named Gretel.

I have long advocated for bike lanes and accessible tram stops in the Merri-bek area and have been extremely passionate about sustainability and climate justice issues.

During my time as a community activist and member of Socialist Alliance I have been involved in many climate-related campaigns.

I’m running for Council because I don’t want to sit on the sidelines and just be a witness to decisions about our community.

I believe that Council can be a true voice of the people to fight for safe and sustainable transport and a strong local neighbourhood, as well as for justice everywhere. I want to be a part of that.

If elected, I will actively campaign for:

• No privatisation or outsourcing of council services - Maintain council’s Home Care service
• Improved public transport: more trains, trams and buses in Brunswick
• Accessible tram stops on Sydney Road
• Expansion of the network of safe cycling paths
• More support for emergency food relief
• An end to the genocide in Gaza
