Mebourne

The Socialist Alliance bases its disability policy on the social model of disability, human rights and the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UNCRPD).

This is very specifically directed at Melbourne SA issues but I think it deserves national airing as the discussion may perhaps reflect on problems elsewhere; and because Melbourne is one of our most important branches nationally because of the political life in that city. Unfortunately the organisation there is in the worst state I’ve ever seen it.

Community activists, residents and supporters came together to launch Sue Bolton's campaign for re-election to the City of Moreland Council in Melbourne's northern suburbs on September 10.

Socialist councillor Sue Bolton, first elected to Moreland City Council in 2012 and re-elected in 2016, is standing again. Moreland is a hub of community activism going back to the anti-conscription movement during World War I.
